Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS)

The system is designed to use multi cameras array that eliminates blind spots, allowing observation of over beam area, cavities and other places which are hidden by an orthogonal imaging position.

The system supports scanning of all vehicle types – private cars, vans, busses, and trucks with or w/o trailers.

It allows free drive with no need to stop for the scanning.

The solution also supports bi-directional scanning.

 

The application embeds several state-of-the-art algorithms, providing competitive superiority:

  • Automatic exposure compensation
  • Automatic frame rate adaptation according to vehicle's speed
  • Auto-focusing option for coping with vehicles height differences.
  • Strobing illumination control for increased intensity and longer lifetime
  • Panoramic image view for fast and intuitive overview
  • Detailed high-res images of any position of the undercarriage
  • Different viewing angles of any spot
  • Side image for better indexing of vehicles
  • Automatic "foreign" objects detection and warning, based on single footprint, based on actual  texture/hue information.

The under vehicle inspection system is working together with an ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) camera, every vehicle is automatically stored in the Under Vehicle Inspection database system by license plate number with high resolution color undercarriage footprint.

These high resolution scanned images enables detection of objects with a minimum size of 0.5*0.5 cm².
